Grocery Assistance

We offer a Grocery Assistance Program (GAP)to help those in Guilford County having difficulty obtaining food.

GAP provides grocery assistance through three programs:

  1. Food Pantry – clients with transportation come on-site to pick up groceries. We provide enough food for 3-4 days.
  2. International Food Pantry- clients not yet documented as legal immigrants come on-site to pick up groceries.
  3. Delivery Program – volunteer drivers deliver a bag of groceries to shut-in clients once a month.

GAP serves between 500-700 people a month who are:

  • low-income elderly and/or disabled
  • in a short-term emergency situation

There is no charge for either the Food Pantry or the Delivery Program.
